From Chaos to Kamva Momentum – my journey

Let me paint you a picture: It’s 9 AM, and I’m sitting at the dining room table, trying to look professional during a career coaching session with a client. My 5 year old is in the background chasing the dog, and my baby boy has decided that right now is the perfect time to scream his little lungs out. I apologise to my clearly baffled client and stand up promptly to quiet the kids, give snacks, and wipe up messes on the floor while the client waits, all the time questioning my decision to start a coaching business while raising kids full time.

Running a face-to-face career coaching business while being a stay-at-home mom turned out to be an extreme sport to say the least. My days were a mash-up of diaper changes, snack demands, and squeezing in meetings with clients who expected my undivided attention – understandably. I felt like I was being pulled in every direction, and honestly, there were days I  just wanted to quit.

But then, I had an idea. What if I didn’t have to physically be everywhere to make my business work? What if I could create something online that not only helped me manage my workload but also empowered other moms like me – moms juggling kids and careers, to build their dreams?

And so, Kamva Momentum was born.

The idea started small: I imagined a space where I could share what I’ve learned, inspire fellow mompreneurs, and offer real, practical tips on starting and running businesses – without losing your sanity. I wanted to create a community where moms could find resources that actually work for our busy lives, where “quick and easy” isn’t code for “doesn’t really work.”

Now, I’m not saying it’s been smooth sailing ever since, but moving my business online was the game-changer I needed. I’ve traded in endless in-person meetings for virtual coaching sessions, flexible schedules, and the freedom to build Kamva Momentum into a platform I’m genuinely proud of.

Now, mommy, here’s what you can expect from Kamva Momentum:
